Bloody Mary

 

Glass: tall/Collins glass

Ingredients:

45ml vodka

150ml tomato juice

15ml limejuice

A wedge of lime

½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce (1 tsp if u can’t handle spice!)

Garnish: celery stick/long green chilly, salt rim

Method:

  1. Take a tall glass; rim it with salt.
  2. Fill ¾ glass with ice cubes
  3. Add in tomato juice, Wooster sauce, Tabasco sauce, lime juice
  4. Squeeze a wedge of lime and drop it in
  5. Then gently slide in the vodka to form a clear layer.
  6. Place a long green chilly across the rim and a stirrer
  7. Stir it all before sipping

** Yes, we know that most people use squat glasses for this drink. If I could, would use the most stylish, curvy glass ever! It was made for a queen, however dishonourably she was discharged of her duties!! Queen Marie Antoinette of France, who was beheaded.

 

 

Classic Caipirojka

 

Glass: old fashioned

Ingredients:

45ml vodka

6 lime wedges

15ml sugar syrup

8-10 mint leaves

Crushed ice

Garnish: a sprig of mint leaves & sweet lime slice

Method

  1. Squeeze and drop lime wedges into glass.
  2. Tear the mint leaves over the lime. Muddle.
  3. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add sugar syrup and vodka.
  4. Stir and taste to adjust. Top with more crushed ice.
  5. Garnish

 

Green Apple Martini

 

Glass: Pre-chilled Martini glass

Ingredients:

60ml vodka

10ml Monin green apple syrup

Garnish: slice of apple/green apple

Method

  1. Fill ¾ mixing tin with ice
  2. Pour in the vodka and Monin syrup
  3. Stir. Or shake for 10 seconds
  4. Strain into to pre-chilled martini glass
  5. Garnish

 

Cosmopolitan

 

Glass: Martini glass

Ingredients:

30ml orange vodka

15ml citrus vodka

45ml cranberry juice

10ml limejuice

A wedge of lime

Splash sugar syrup (optional/or increase cranberry juice to 60ml)

Garnish: Half slice of orange/twist of orange peel

Method:

  1. Fill the shaker ¾with ice
  2. Add all the ingredients, squeeze wedge of lime and drop it in
  3. Shake and strain into a martini glass
  4. Garnish

 

Smirnoff (Moscow) Mule

Glass: Mule Mug

Ingredients:

45ml Smirnoff

15ml lime juice

30ml Manama ginger lime cordial

1 wedge lime

7Up/Sprite & soda to top

Or

Top with ginger ale/beer and a splash of sugar to taste

Garnish: cucumber stick, mint leaves 

Method:

  • Fill mule mug with ice
  • Add Smirnoff, lime juice, ginger lime cordial & wedge of lime
  • Top with 7Up/Sprite & soda, ½ & ½
  • Stir & garnish

 

Espressotini

 

Glass: Pre–chilled Martini glass

Ingredients:

45ml vanilla vodka

30ml black coffee

15ml Kahlua

5ml Monin hazelnut

Garnish: polo and coffee bite

Method

  1. Fill ¾ mixing tin with ice
  2. Pour in vanilla vodka, Kahlua, coffee and hazelnut syrup
  3. Shake and strain into a pre-chilled martini glass
  4. String 2 polo mints onto a stirrer/pick with toffee in the centre
